Trauma Healing Self Guide

Swadhyay is an ancient Vedic Yogic technique for self- analysis. It is recommended that it be done with a Certified Yogic Counsellor who helps you identify the answers within you, for each and any issue in your life. What I’ve shared here is not entirely Swadhyay but definitely some self-reflective questions to help you identify and heal your trauma. This is purely for those who may not be able to afford therapy. Also, this healing guide may not always work for all as the trauma cases may differ and the individual Prakriti + sensitivities of a person play a significant role as well.

Do Swadhyay on :

• What I lacked in me that I couldn’t protect myself. Example; lack of boundaries, hard confrontations, lack of self-awareness, lack of self-love, etc.

• Have I forgiven myself enough for this?

• What am I doing to upgrade myself where I lack to take care of myself better in future?

• Have I forgiven the person who caused me this trauma?

• Why am I unable to forgive the person if I lacked to take care for myself in the first place?

What does this tell about me?

• What can I do to forgive them?

• Am I still waiting/ expecting an apology from them? Why? What does this tell about me?

• Do I want to forgive them or carry the pain in my heart and let it impact all areas of my life ?

• Am I unable to move on cause some questions remain unanswered? How can I get these answers? Can I take some expert help here?

• Am I looking for an ending / closure ( even if by an apology) ? Is waiting helping me or making me suffer more?

• Is there something I wanted to tell them or want to tell them now? Can I still send them? Should I still tell them? How will it make a difference?

• Am I at peace and good health by staying in trauma?

• Do I see, i need to help myself first before waiting for any miracles.
